The Friends of St. Johnsville is a New York State not-for-profit charitable corporation. We are an organization of volunteers committed to commercial district advocacy and the championing of quality of life issues to benefit the residents and business owners of historic St. Johnsville and its surrounding communities.
In an effort to promote those goals we have formed a tool lending library of mechanical tools and equipment to aid residents of the communities in the maintenance and improvement of the properties wherein they reside. We owe a huge debt of thanks to those who made this project possible by donating tools (particularly Fort Plain True Value Hardware Company), and funds for the purchase of additional tools.
The Tool Lending Library is currently located in the 1893 Reaney carriage house located behind 20 Kingsbury Avenue, St. Johnsville. Hours of operation are 9am to 11am, Friday and Saturday of each week. Tools are loaned, free of charge, for a period of two weeks. You must be 21 years of age to check out tools and you must sign a liability waver which is good for one year. Additional items are constantly being added to the catalogue.Tool-Lending-Library-Waver-9.29.19ToolLendingLibraryBetter1
